Emergency First Response (EFR): CPR and First Aid Training in Vietnam

Accidents can happen anywhere—at home, in the workplace, or on a dive boat. Being prepared to respond is a skill that everyone should have, not just scuba divers. The Emergency First Response (EFR) course is one of the most comprehensive and internationally recognized programs for CPR and First Aid training. At Rainbow Divers, we provide a supportive, hands-on environment where you can master these life-saving skills. Whether you are taking the course to satisfy a PADI Rescue Diver requirement or simply want the peace of mind that comes with being a trained responder, our instructors bring real-world experience to every session.

Why Take Your EFR Training with Rainbow Divers?

At Rainbow Divers, we take emergency preparedness seriously. As the PADI Flagship in Vietnam, we maintain a fleet of oxygen-equipped boats and highly trained staff. When you take your EFR course with us, you aren't just reading from a book; you are learning from professionals who are active responders in the diving community. We focus on building your confidence so that if an emergency ever occurs, you have the muscle memory to act quickly and effectively.

Skills for Life: What You’ll Learn in the EFR Course

The EFR program follows the same medical protocols used by professionals, but it is designed for the layperson.

Primary Care (CPR) & Rescue Breathing

You will learn how to handle life-threatening emergencies. We cover chest compressions (CPR), rescue breathing, and how to manage a victim in shock or with a suspected spinal injury.

Secondary Care (First Aid) & Injury Assessment

Not every emergency is life-threatening. We’ll teach you how to assess injuries and illnesses, provide proper bandaging and splinting, and determine when professional medical help is required.

AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training

In the modern world, AEDs are increasingly common in airports, malls, and hotels. We provide hands-on training on how to use these devices, which can significantly increase the chances of survival during a cardiac event.

A Prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver

If you are on the path to becoming a PADI Rescue Diver or a professional Divemaster, the EFR certification is a mandatory prerequisite. Because the course is "dry" (no water sessions required), it can be completed in a single day at our centers in Nha Trang, Saigon, or Whale Island.

Corporate & Group Training in Saigon and Nha Trang

Looking to certify your staff? Rainbow Divers offers customized EFR training for schools, hotels, and corporate offices across Vietnam. Give your team the confidence to save lives with the country’s most trusted training provider.
