The DSD isn’t a certification, but rather a supervised "Try Dive" that gives you a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Under the constant, direct supervision of a Rainbow Divers professional, you’ll learn the basics of using scuba gear and find out how easy it is to move around underwater. Most people are surprised by how natural it feels!

Your Day with the Pros: How it Works

We follow a strict "Dive Today" philosophy that focuses on getting you in the water safely.

Step 1: Simple Theory & Safety Briefing:

We’ll start with a short, easy-to-understand briefing on the basics of diving physics and how your equipment works.

Step 2: Confined Water (Pool) Practice:

Before heading to the ocean, we’ll spend time in a pool or a shallow, pool-like bay. You’ll practice a few basic skills, like clearing your mask and breathing through your regulator, until you feel like a pro.

Step 3: Your First Ocean Dives to 12 Meters:

This is the magic part. You’ll head out on our comfortable dive boat to the Hon Mun Marine Park (Nha Trang) or Phu Quoc’s coral gardens. You’ll complete two dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters, accompanied every second by your instructor.

If you're short on time, curious or apprehensive about learning to dive, then start slowly and take this simple introduction to diving.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program gives you a great insight into the world of recreational diving, safely, slowly and under constant supervision. It is part of Rainbow and PADI’s dive today philosophy to get you in water and enjoying the new experience before you commit to taking on a full entry level dive course. We can upgrade you from this program into a course very easily. So relax and enjoy!

We know the importance of doing this 1st experience right! We have an experienced Instructor 1-on-1 with you for maximum safety + fun. Too many local dive centres do not have certified instructors but do offer "Quick, Cheap + Questionable". Don't risk your potential diving future for the sake of a few Dollars!

PADI Standards dictate that you must take the theory and Pool Training BEFORE Ocean Diving.
