As a PADI professional, you need to be able to offer students (and employers) courses which are interesting and useful, as well as making them fun.
These should maybe considered 1st
- Digital Underwater Photography
Additional ratings, which are often overlooked include:
And many more!
- Fish ID
- Search & Recovery
- Gas Blender
- O2 Provider
- Side Mount
Unfortunately there are no Wrecks in Vietnam.
Remember, obtaining a minimum of 5 Specialty Instructor ratings and certifying 25 students (at any level) allow you to apply for your Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification!
We can offer 6-12 week MSDT + IDC Staff internships which will include teaching opportunities to achieve your 25 certs!
Contact us with proof of OWSI and EFRI
Read though and become familiar with the student manual for each Specialty you have selected. Become confident with each of the Knowledge Reviews (you shouldn’t need to have a ‘cheat-sheet’ when discussing the answers!) Study your PADI Specialty Instructor outline (supplied with your IDC materials) and understand the prerequisites, performance requirements and standards for each course.
Practise the performance requirements under the supervision and guidance of a Senior Rainbow Instructor-Trainer. Prepare a mini-IDC presentation on any question from the 2nd Knowledge Review. Give the presentation to the Course Director with a passion (5-10 minutes)
Apply directly to PADI for your instructor ratings; send in your MSDT application at the same time and when you reach 25 certs, PADI will automatically upgrade you!
