PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) & IEs are held 6 times every year in Vietnam. English PADI Course Directors, Jeremy Stein & Grant Martin held the first IDC in Vietnam in June 2001 and both are recognised internationally for their outstanding teaching methods. They team-teach the IDCs with:


Georges Erhard : English Master Instructor
Caroline Istas : Belgian IDC Staff Instructor

Chris J. Ephgrave : English IDC staff Instructor

Mathew Shaw : English IDC Staff Instructor

Kha "SuperKha" Mai Hoang Kien : Vietnamese IDC Staff Instructor

Both the Assistant Instructor and Instructor courses are each spread over 6 days.

You will need to obtain the Instructor Manual (digital or paper) and the Instructor Candidate Workbook and be familiar with both. There are 16 Knowledge Reviews at the front of the workbook, which need to be completed before the start of your course. You should also be comfortable with you ability to pass a Standards and Dive Theory exam. If you need remedial training on these exams, we offer an IDC Prep course over 2 days prior to the start of the IDC.

VIETNAM DIVING:
As this may be your first visit to Vietnam we offer a reduced rate for boat diving either before or after the IE so that you can enjoy the experience of diving The South China Sea with Rainbow Divers. 2 days boat diving (4 dives) only $50!

Whilst we do not guarantee immediate employment opportunities at one of the Rainbow Divers Centres in Vietnam, we are always open to negotiation! Furthermore, we can put you in touch with other PADI Centres in Cambodia, Thailand, Bali, Borneo and other parts of the world where our training is recognised and our new Instructors sought after!
