WINDOWS:
How to change the icon of a shortcut:
1. Select it, click the right button and choose "Properties".
2. Click "Shortcut", choose "Change icon" and "Search".
3. Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".
How to change the icons of My PC, My Documents and Network:
1. Click the right button in any place of the desktop and choose "Properties".
2. In "Effects" choose the icon you want to change and click on "Change icon".
3. Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".
How to change the icons associated to any kind of generic file on your computer:
1. In any window of the Windows Explorer, click on the "See" menu and then "Folder options".
2. On "File types" choose the icon you want to change, click "Edit" and then "Edit icon".
3. Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".

How to change the icons:
1. Select the icon you want to use
2. Select File Menu - "Get Info"
3. Click on the icon in the "Get Info" window
4. Select Edit Menu - "Copy"
5. Close the "Get Info" window
6. Select the folder or file you want to apply the icon
7. Select File Menu - "Get Info"
8. Click on the icon in the "Get Info" window
9. Select Edit Menu - "Paste"
